In 2008, the Enesco Company purchased Boyds Bears. But then, as time went on, the cost of supplies and labor for producing Boyds Bears increased. So, as of December 31st, 2014, Boyds Bears went into "hibernation." There is always the possibility that Boyds Bears production might resume in the future, but the company makes no promises about that.
