Each Boyds Resin piece is marked with a symbol of authenticity - Bearstones have a paw print (), Folkstones have a star (), Dollstones have a human footprint (), and Santa resin bears have a tree print (). Where the mark is placed on the piece varies.

For Boyds Plush, each pattern is cut by hand, sewn and stuffed one at a time ... noses, mouths, and paws are hand embroidered and collector hangtags are always included.
