NUMBERED EDITIONS
These individually numbered collectibles are issued in sequential production editions limited to 9,999 pieces. For example, a piece marked 2E/3255 means that this piece is the 3255th piece of the second edition of that design. Numbered Edition designs are available only until the announced retirement date.
LIMITED EDITIONS
These collectibles are individually numbered and limited to a predetermined edition size. Edition sizes can vary and will be announced at the product issue date. For example, an edition size of 24,500 indicates that a maximum of 24,500 pieces will be produced. Once these pieces have been sold to Hallmark retailers, the design is retired.
LUXURY LIMITED EDITIONS
These collectibles are individually numbered and limited to a predetermined edition size. Edition sizes can vary and will be announced at the product issue date. The most exclusive of the Hallmark editions, Luxury Limited Editions, are generally showpieces of their collection and feature more elaborate designs or added touches. Once these pieces have been sold to Hallmark retailers, the design is retired.
RETIREMENTS
Once any Hallmark edition design is retired, it is no longer produced or distributed to retailers. The piece then becomes increasinly rare.
